Jeremy (Joshua Schubart) has spent the last year of his life hibernating in the apartment he used to share with his wife Vic (Teegan Leah Ciritz) who has died. He has lost his job, and has effectively turned himself into a hermit. He is convinced to move back home to Long Island to rebuild, by his parents (Deb Mayo, Clyde Baldo). When he arrives he is greeted with love and compassion from his family and friends. Something that Jeremy is not ready to let in.
The only person he can confide in is his best friend, also named Jeremy (Brian Michael Smith) who has been waiting for him to come home, so he can remind him what it was like to be human again. After Jeremy (Joshua Schubart) attempts to hang himself, and gets saved by his parents, he realizes that he does want to be alive and attempts to move forward in a positive way.
Jeremy (Joshua Schubart) will attempt to go on dates, get out into the world, and navigate a new romance (Olivia Baptista). All of this while dealing with the memories of his marriage to Vic, that both haunt and inspire Jeremy to walk into his new life.
